Welcome to my first tutorial on sjglass.org. Since the most popular items on my website are glass earrings, I figured I would demonstrate what goes in to creating these beautiful pieces of glass jewelry.

1. These are the supplies I use when creating glass earrings. I use silver wire wrap found at any arts and craft store, wire snips or clippers for cutting the silver wire, sterling silver earring loops, pliers or any other type of needle nose plier, and last but not least the hand made glass earring.

2. The first thing I do to wrap the earring is to cut a piece of wire about 8 inches long. I then fold a loop around the neck of the glass earring and wrap down. I fold the silver up create a loop and then do it again for the other glass earring. This is what I end up with. wrapping the glass earring

3. Then you bend the loop on the earring loop and feed it through the loop on the silver wire. Bend it back and your glass earring is ready to be worn.

Everything was created on a gtt mirage. Comments on this glass earrings, suggestions for future glass art, request the artist to create a unique handmade piece for you, or interested in purchasing an already existing piece of glass art?
