› Torch [glasstorchtech gtt]
I am currently lampworking on a Glass Torch Technologies Mirage.
"The Mirage is constructed with
a seven jet, triple surface mix inner fire, surrounded by a 35 jet triple surface mix outer fire.
The patented triple surface mix technology makes this torch produce the most efficient flame available. This torch burns cleaner, and has more flame characteristics than any other torch on the market today.
The Mirage can produce a flame from the smallest micro needle flames all the way up to a 1-7/8" wide flame. The GTT Mirage is an extremely powerful torch, designed for the most demanding of lamp working projects."
"Schott Glass Technologies has developed a new contrast enhancement glass for spectacle lenses. The new material, called ACE , short for "Amethyst Contrast Enhancer," utilizes rare earth oxides in the glass composition to achieve the unique color enhancing characteristics. ACE Glass utilizes rare earth oxides in its composition to provide the same filtration. This glass is very efficient in filtering sodium flare in addition to providing ultraviolet protection to 390 nm."
"
At Northstar Glassworks it is our mission to provide the Lampworking Community with a complete palette of the highest quality colored borosilicate glass available."
"Wale Apparatus Company manufactures and distributes the finest selection of tools, supplies, equipment and glass to two distinct areas of glassworking: Scientific and Artistic. In addition to our products, we provide professional and courteous service to our customers."
"Buttermilk studios and it's staff are
dedicated to furthering the progression and
education of flameworked glass in a communal
workshop setting. Inspired by the recent rennaissance
of borosilicate glass, the studio hopes to be
a home for the many visiting and aspiring young
artists. Buttermilk is a breeding ground for
the minds of local and resident artists in their
journey through expression in working with flameworked
glass as a medium. The studio hopes to open
minds and eyes to the wonders of glass and the
arts in our community."
